The Ministry of Development and the World Bank launched a new joint report on “Good Jobs in Turkey”. ​


Minister of Development Cevdet Yılmaz; Minister of Labor Faruk Çelik; and World Bank Country Director Martin Raiser delivered the opening remarks during the Reports Launch event.

The report focuses on the most relevant aspects that would make jobs good for the development of Turkey. This report explores the status and effects of good jobs in Turkey's current economy. It analyzes where jobs are being created and which activities are the most productive for the Turkish economy, and assesses if jobs have moved to more productive activities in recent years. Finally, the report proceeds to measure the impact of different types of jobs on the welfare of an entire household and on the household's relative position in the overall income distribution.
